Our school

We are in a building with a garden in Beytepe. Classrooms, a movement hall, a dining room, a rest room and our own kitchen are all under one roof.

Our gardens and playground

Our school has two gardens, one at the front and one at the back. The back garden is home to our playground with its slides, where children play freely and safely under their teachers' watchful eye. When the weather allows, we take our lessons out to the back garden, have picnics and set up obstacle courses for movement games. On the course, children build balance and agility and learn to wait for their turn.

The front garden is where we explore nature. We study flowers, leaves and soil with magnifying glasses and watch the seasons change up close. In summer we set up a camp corner in the garden.

Our own kitchen

Our meals are cooked in the school kitchen every day. There are three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. Our menus are approved by a paediatric dietitian, and we cook with fresh ingredients that are as natural as possible.

Our teachers sit at the same table and eat the same food as the children. Mealtimes are learning time too: with our teachers' guidance, children learn at the table to use a fork and spoon, try new tastes and practise good table manners.
